Leif Hansson, angivelig en møbelsnekker fra Moss, var en aktiv gitarmaker fra tidlig i 1950-årene frem til 1973. Produksjonen foregikk på ulike steder i ulike perioder, fra Nordstrand i Oslo til Strømmen og Flå i Hallingdal. I tillegg til gitarer utformet Hansson mandoliner og kontrabasser.
Denne gitaren har tidligere vært brukt av Gustav Lorentzen og Øystein Dolmen, kjent fra den norske duoen Knutsen & Ludvigsen.
