In time with the Countess
The eighteenth century saw lively cultural exchanges between the provincial town of Trondhjem and the Continent. The exhibition In time with the Countess – Music and people in Trondhjem 1740–1815 offers the audience a vibrant reflection of the different social contexts and fascinating personalities connected to the town’s musical life.
Together with the unique collections of Ringve Music Museum, these contexts and personalities make up the framework for a meeting with a past that is still with us. The visitors will be taken through the exhibition room by room, by the museum guides. Through words and notes performed on historically accurate instruments, the guides offer a vivid presentation of the music, the people and life in the old town of Trondhjem.
